Grants

The Tracy Family Foundation has 5 grant programs:  Formal Funding, Brown County T.E.A.C.H.E.R. Fund, Capacity Building, Matching Grant, and Third Generation Grants.

Within our Formal Funding Grant Program, requests for Brown County projects will be considered if they fall within our areas of intent of Education, Families, and Youth. Requests from areas outside of Brown County will only be considered if they are tied to one of the following focus areas:

  • PreK-12 Catholic School Education
  • Capacity Building of Nonprofits
  • Community Centers
  • Education and Curriculum support for Pre-School – Grade 12 academics.
  • Youth Development in the areas of leadership, character, & Spiritual development
  • Unmet Needs of At-Risk Families

Requests to the Brown County T.E.A.C.H.E.R. Fund will be considered if they address one of the following areas:

  • Improvements needed and identified within the School Improvement Plan
  • Best teaching practices identified by the school’s Instructional Leadership Team
  • Instructional Focus of the school

Requests to the Capacity Building Grant Program will be considered if the proposed activity leads to an increase in the organizational effectiveness of an agency due to improvements made in management, leadership, and board governance. Below is a list of some of the activities that will be considered for funding. 

  • Strategic Planning
  • Staff Training
  • Professional Development Conferences
  • Center for Effective Nonprofits workshops and Institute for Excellence in Leadership Certificate Program
  • Consultants

The Matching Grant Program and Third Generation Grant Program are available only to Tracy Family Foundation trustees and Tracy family members. Nonprofit organizations are the beneficiaries of these grants.
